Our parents... We miss them so...

Our family back in the day...

A sampling of thank you letters from our soldiers:
11/19/05 Thank you so much for the Christmas decorations. We
have a tree already and are getting ready to put it up. It is
only about two feet high but at least it is a tree. The treats were
passed out and smiles from all. Well Linda thanks again and I wish
you and your loved ones Happy Holidays! Joseph
11/16/05 My Christmas wish for you is that I hope the best
for you and your Angels! God bless you and all the wonderful
things that you have done for the soldiers.
Thank you, your friend Juan
11/10/05 Good news!!!! I should be on a flight headed back to the states on
Monday. I will be sending more information as it comes along. All medical holds
have been cleared. I am perfectly healthy and, for now, have no lasting effects
of the deployment. Love you all and THANKS so much for all the support you guys
gave me and my family since being deployed. Love, Scott
08/08/05 THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE CALLING CARD THAT
YOU SENT ME.IT'S VERY SPECIAL TO KNOW THAT THERE ARE PEOPLE
WHO DON'T KNOW US BUT SUPPORT US AND WHAT WE ARE HERE TO DO.
A LOT OF TIMES PEOPLE DON'T FEEL THAT WE NEED ANYTHING AND
THEY TALK BAD ABOUT US BUT THATS EXPECTED IN THIS WORLD WE
LIVE IN. THANK YOU AGAIN FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS
AND GOD BLESS YOU ALL. Abe
08/01/05 Dear Linda:
Yes I did receive your package, thank you so very much.
We are having our good days here along with our bad days, but the past few weeks have been bad! Some of our fellow soldiers have gone on to meet the lord; there is a lot of tension in the air and we are wondering if it's worth our lives being over here! But we know we have a job to do and hopefully our country supports us. But hey lets think about some good things now. We cannot say thank you enough for people like you and the Angels.
Well I have to go now, take care! Dick
07/05/05 I first want to thank you for the package and all the goodies; it is a blessing every time mail comes in for any soldier including myself. This is the first package I have received from somebody that doesn't know me. Somebody that doesn't even know who I am writes a letter, puts goodies in a package and sends it half way across the world to a soldier, that is somebody special in my book. God Bless you and your Angels. I hope to hear from you again soon. Isaac
07/01/05 Dear Linda: Thank you once again for the care packages. Well I got on that web site of yours and all I can say is wow, and wow. Right now I am trying to find the words to write to you to explain what I felt when I saw your website. Wow is the only think I can think of. You are a very amazing person and also all of your angels. Its almost like you and your angels are like a second mom to all us U.S. soldiers over here. Thanks, thanks to you and your angels. You have inspired me a lot. I will pass on your website to my friends and family so they can help. Also I am grateful for all that you have sent to me. And I will try to help however I can. What can I do? Please let me know. Take care.
Your friend, Juan
06/02/05 I appreciate what you have done for me. People like you are what makes this place even liveable. I wish that I had more time to let you know what your cards and letters mean to me. Also the care packages we get. I can only say Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You and your angels are truly great and one of the things that keeps me going over here. Adam
05/09/05 Thanks for all you have done for me and all the other guys here in Iraq.
You truly are one of God's angels. Scott
04/29/05 Dear Linda:
I would just like to start off with thank you so much for your support. It really helped me get through this deployment. I just received the Easter package that you and your friends sent to me and I also wanted to tell you that I deeply appreciate it. Steve
04/15/05 My First Sergeant nearly flipped when he saw the Ford hat. HE LOVES THEM... I gave it to him. I like the man and he hadn't had much of anything in the past five or six months. Thanks for everything, Mack"
12/05/04 Dear Linda:
I just got your stocking and the banner from the school, and I hungthe banner up in our building for everyone to see. I left the address
of the school attached to it so maybe some of the other guys will write them back. I will write to them also.
Thanks for all that you do for us. Erik
12/23/04 Dear Linda:
Hello. I want to say thank you for bringing the holiday cheer my way. Thanks to you and your Angels your letters and stocking was the only holiday mail I received. It seems as though my family has forgotten me this year. A little about myself: I joined the Army in Aug. 2000. This is my second deployment to the Middle East. Once with Operation Enduring Freedom and now Operation Iraqi Freedom. The Army has been my life for the past 4 years. I hope I haven't bored you. I would really like for you to write again.
Always, Robert
12/24/04 Dear Linda:
I received your nice letter and package yesterday. Thank you so very much for taking the time to write to an old soldier. Your father was absolutely correct about the importance of receiving mail from home. No matter how harsh the conditions if a soldier is guaranteed three things, he can live happily. That is meals, money (pay) and mail from home. Thank you and your Angels for all you are doing to support the troops. You have no idea how important that is. Rich
12/28/04 Dear Mrs. B:
Thank you so very much. I really want to thank you for the Christmas stocking. Its kind of embarrassing for me to say but your group was the only people that sent me a Christmas present this year. My best friend and not even my half-sisters sent me anything. Not even a card. So thank you very much. It means a lot.
Write soon, Steve
